Viñas Mora is a small wine project based in Primošten on the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia. The name literally means “wines from the sea,” reflecting its location near the Adriatic. Founded by Kreso Petrekovic (and Somm and importer), Niko Dukan (a wine promoter and friend) and Neno Marinov (a local winemaker) the goal was to highlight and preserve traditional viticulture in Primošten using indigenous Babić grapes from coastal, rocky vineyards. They revitalized an old co-op to create wines reflecting the unique "wines from the sea" terroir.
The vineyards are planted on rugged limestone terraces, often farmed by hand without mechanization, producing very low yields and wines that are expressive of the coastal terroir’s saline minerality and ripe fruit intensity.
