Terrasses 2022 is a red natural wine crafted by Charlotte and Aurélien Houillon of Domaine Houillon, in the Rhône region in France. Whilst blends can change vintage to vintage on cuvees, this vintage of Terrasses is made with 100% Grenache No added sulphites

Tasting Notes for Terrasses 2022 by Domaine Houillon

This vintage of Terrasses 2022, which is 14.5% we has notes of raspberry, ripe morello cherry, balsamic touches, mild barnyard (which blows off) and a hint of iron.

 It has a slight fizz at first, which keeps it perky and light, yet there is also some depth and after some air the structure becomes more prevalent, revealing medium to full-bodied southern Rhône Grenache with smooth tannins carrying the fruit generously yet purely.

Delicious. Finish in one swift sitting with company, as it will not hold overnight.

About Domaine Houillon in Rhone

Aurélien Houillon, a native of Jura and another talented relative of Emmanuel Houillon of Maison Pierre Overnoy in Jura has also worked at the estate in addition to other places before settling down in Rhone to work alongside his partner Charlotte. The wines are zero-zero, as expected from the rest of the family legends, and offer a big energy and depth. They farm 2.5 hectares of vines

in Faucon, in the Vaucluse, on a total property (and accommodation facilities) of 9 hectares. They farm their vines exclusively by horse too!
