Hurry… almost sold out!

Domaine Derain is a producer situated in the heart of Burgundy. After taking the winery over in 2016, Julien Altaber and Carole Schwab decide they wanted to focus on low intervention, biodynamic wine.

Mercurey 'La Plante Chassey' 2017 MAGNUM is made with Pinot Noir grapes from Burgundy's Côte Chalonnaise on old vines. We have not yet tried this vintage, but hear it offers aromas of dark berries, dried flowers, spice, and an earthy complexity.

Expect this vintage to deliver richness and depth, while extended aging in magnum has preserved freshness and finesse.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

Sextant & Domain Derain

Julien Atlaber started working for Burgundy estate Domain Derain, as legend Dominque Derain's right hand man. The two formed a strong friendship, and over the years Julien started to release his own Negoce wines under the name Sextant. Dominque Derain decided to retire, and Julien Altaber now runs the domaine with his wife and partner Carole Schwab. They run both Sextant and Domaine Derain from the same cellar in Saint-Aubin, working with typical Burgundy grapes such as Pinot Noir, Chadonnay and Aligote
