Krimiso 2019

Krimiso 2019 by Aldo Viola is a BIG orange, and more elegant than previous vintages yet still tannic and serious.

Production details of Krimiso: Krimiso is Aldo Viola's orange wine made from Catarratto grown near Erice and Trapani in north-west Sicily. He farms 12 hectares of estate (9 in vines) without systemic chemistry. The grapes are de-stemmed and macerate for five months in stainless steel tanks, after which only the free-run juice is used. The wine is named after the divinity of a thermal river in Trapani.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Krimiso by Aldo Viola, but we hear it has notes of candied citrus, chestnut, white flowers, orange honey and a long saline finish.
