Bairrada | Natural Wine from Bairrada
Bairrada is a wine region located in the central part of Portugal. Nestled between the cities of Coimbra and Aveiro, this region is not super well known for Natural Wine production, however, popular natural wine producers from Bairrada include Joáo Pato and Tiago Teles.
Bairrada is known for its indigenous grape varieties, such as Baga, which thrives in the region's climate. Baga grapes are known for their high acidity and robust tannins, resulting in wines with excellent aging potential. Other grape varieties grown in Bairrada include Touriga Nacional and Maria Gomes.
