Amor Fati No.2

Amor Fati No.2 is a natural wine crafted by Zarathustra Wines, in the Saale-Unstrut region in Germany. This 10% sparkling wine is made with Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Spätburgunder & Portugieser grapes.

We have not yet tried this exact vintage but from what we know elsewhere, Amor Fati No.2 NV from Zarathustra Wines offers aromas of buttered brioche and bright lemon. The palate reveals ripe pear, apple and subtle herbs, finishing with a gentle saline lift and soft, caressing mousse.

Production Process of Amor Fati No.2 NV Natural Sparkling Wine from Zarathustra Wines

The blend consists of approximately 50% Silvaner, complemented by a mix of Gutedel, Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder), Pinot Blanc, Portugieser, and Müller-Thurgau.

 The base blended wine is aged for about 12 months in used oak barriques before undergoing a second fermentation and ageing on the lees in the bottle for approximately 15 to 16 months, resulting in a total maturation period of around 27 months prior to disgorgement.
