Chardonnay Arbois 2023 "Vieilles Vignes"

Chardonnay Arbois "Vieilles Vignes" 2023 is a natural wine crafted by Caveau du Val de l'Amour , in the Jura region in France. This white wine is made with Chardonnay grapes, is taken from old vines in the appellation of Arbois, rather than the other which is Cotes du Jura. The wine is made is winemaker Sylvain Jacquots winery, which is essentially his garage at the back of the house. This is much more a passion project than big commercial operation, and he farms just 1.5-2 hectares, so these wines are hard to come by! We adore them!

One of the things we loved about this wine Chardonnay Arbois "Vieilles Vignes" 2023 was a the strong reminder of a traditional German apple cake, like grandma would make!

Full of delicious buttery notes (like really good quality butter too), lemon zest, cinnamon, pepper and stoney aspects. Like an apple pie on a rock? Either way, this is a banger and one we really adore!
