Freude 2021 (ONE PER ORDER)

Freude 2021 by Ewald Tscheppe of Werlitsch is an orange wine made in Styria, Austria with a blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Chardonnay grapes.

The soils are chalky marl and this orange wine is skin-fermented in tank, then gently pressed and aged on its fine lees in large oak casks for two years.

The bottle is made with clay and this wine has excellent aging potential, which is helped by the amount of time the wine has skin contact maceration - sometimes up to a year.

Expect a long finish, mild tannins and lively citrus elements with notes of soft orange peel. Age for even better results and carafe for optimum expression.
