NATURAL WINES BY VIN DE LAGAMBA
Vin de Lagamba is Alanna Lagamba, a Canadian who moved to Germany, fell for wine and for winemaker Martin Wörner of Marto Wines, who is also an equal part of this project. She is from Toronto and worked at JAJA in Berlin. She joined Martin's 2018 harvest and moved to Flonheim in Rheinhessen in 2019, a limestone corner known as the Switzerland of Rheinhessen.
Her first wine was FrauenPower, a juicy red pét-nat from spare Dornfelder vines in Rheinhessen, dedicated to the strong women in her life. It is roughly 80% Dornfelder and 20% Silvaner, named after a feminist record owned by Martin's mother, and we were her first client. She also makes an incredible Sekt with long lees ageing: the Blanc de Noir 2021 is Pinot Noir, a year in old barrel, then 30 months in bottle, with no added sulphur. In general, she is an all round legend!
