Litro Rosso 2023 (1litre)

Litro Rosso (1litre) is a natural wine crafted by Sette, in the Piedmont region in Italy. This red wine is made with Barbera grapes, with some Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah added in.

Production details of Litro Rosso: Litro Rosso comes from Sette's 5.5-hectare hillside vineyard at Bricco di Nizza in Nizza Monferrato, founded in 2017 by Gino Della Porta and Gian Luca Colombo. Vines aged between 20 and 80 years grow on limestone, chalk, silicates and grey marls at around 280m elevation. The fruit is gently extracted with an old Piedmontese technique. Once the must reaches 10-11% alcohol, a wooden grid submerges the cap for a softer infusion through the rest of maceration. The wine ages around 10 months across a mix of concrete, wood and amphora. Comes in a 1-litre bottle.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Litro Rosso by Sette, but we hear it has notes of juicy cherry, blackberry, fresh strawberry, wildflowers and a savoury salami edge.
