Nino

Nino is a non-vintage sparkling wine, crafted to maintain a consistent house style rather than highlighting a single harvest. To achieve this, Ori Marani created a “Réserve Perpétuelle” program - a reserve wine aged in qvevri, giving the blend a distinctive Georgian identity. The final cuvée is composed of Tsitska, Tsolikouri, Chinuri and Goruli Mtsvane, with up to 10% reserve wine. Fermentation takes place with wild yeasts, without fining or filtration. The wine is aged 90% in old French oak barrels and 10% in qvevri, followed by at least 15 months on the lees. Bottled as Extra Brut (2 g/L dosage).

THIS WINE IS CRAZY. Ori Marani used to live in Champagne, and moved to Georgia to be with his Georgian partner. He has brought a style of traditional method sparkling to Georgia, that no-one else is doing in this way.

The result is TOTALLY UNIQUE. This wine is suuuuuper vegetal with interesting and strong celery root, asparagus, leaves and aniseed. Be warned....this is not a wine for everyone and perhaps difficult to drink a whole bottle solo, but WOW, if you want a totally extreme unique experience this is the sparkling to get!
