Babelas

Babelas is a natural wine crafted by Rennersistas, in the Burgenland region in Austria. This rose wine is made with Rösler and St. Laurent grapes.

Production details of Babelas: Babelas is a pet nat made by Stefanie and Georg Renner at Rennersistas in Gols, Burgenland. The name "Babelas" is Afrikaans for "hangover" and the wine is dedicated to South Africa and the friends they made there. The blend uses Rösler and St. Laurent. Low alcohol at 9.5%. Lunar-calendar farming, no added sulphur.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Babelas by Rennersistas, but we hear it has notes of strawberry, hazelnut, pomegranate and a fine mineral lift.
