Sauvage 2023

Sauvage 2023 is a natural wine crafted by Clos Bateau, in the Beaujolais region in France. This red wine is made with Gamay grapes, grown from a previously abandoned plot the duo have brought back to life

Tasting wise, this vibrant Gamay ’Sauvage’ features the typical Cacao touch seemingly in most Clos Bateau reds we adore, and there is a distinct wildness floatint amongst hints of black cherries, vanilla, herbs and cream. What a delicous wine!!!

About Sauvage from Clos Bateau

Unfortunately we didn’t launch our special cuvée sauvage last year. But we’re happy to announce that we can offer Sauvage ’23. It’s from our famous parcelle sauvage, which was abandoned for couple a of years before we arrive. This means special grapes but incredibly low yield: 6 HL/ha. Long aging of 10 months in fiberglass which expresses the terroir quite amazing.
