Clarisse De Suremain is the niece of Eric de Suremain of Château de Monthelie. Her own holding in Burgundy is small, 2.5 hectares, farmed chemical free and run on holistic lines, and she also buys Negoce grapes from near Chablis and Beaune.
We stock the pair from the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. The Rouge 2020 is Pinot Noir, with black forest fruit, soft mild tannins, a touch of herbs and a faint caramel note at the end. The Blanc 2020 is the Chardonnay. For Burgundy at this price, both are hard to argue with.
