HERZANOVI WINES
Herzanovi in the Czech republic adhere to a “zero/zero” philosophy in the majority of their natural wines. While their black label wines have a little bit of S02 added before bottling for a more “glossy” or “classic” styled wine, their earthen coloured label range has absolutely none.
The Herzanovi winery is primarily run by Jakub Herzán in the village of Kobylí, and was started for fun in 1997.This includes a variety of skin contact Qvevri wines, which are aged in some of their four large Amphora buried in the garden.
Popular wines from Herzanovi include their P2, a red/white blend of Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir as well as their Cabernet Moravia, Gruner Veltliner (Veltlínské zelené), Kompot, Neuburger and Sylvaner. Expect good quality for the price with Herzanovi and a rustic touch.
