Atanasius by Gut Oggau in Burgendland is partially fermented on the skins and aged in various wooden containers of 500L, 1200L and 1500L and matured on the yeast for 12 months. During this time there is no fining, batonnage, filtration and no additional sulphur added.
Atanasius is a very fine, juicy Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt blend with a piquant fruity and spicy nose. It is not difficult to make friends with him as he shows his character in a positive, very clear and carefree way.
PLEASE NOTE: This vintage is a little fizzy with some refermentation going on, makes it quite cool and different.

Despite already being exceptionally popular, he still retains some hidden qualities, which make him even more interesting. His dream is to one day become an acclaimed world star.
