Katla Wines | Wine of Jas Swan

Jasmin Swan of Katla Wines produced her first natural wine vintage in 2019 in Bauneberg, then started working from the cellar of German producer Staffelter Hof in the Mosel. But.. she has since then seriously developed her own, very signature style that is almost unmistakably Katla Wines. And despite very low quantities, this has earned her a loyal following around the globe.

Her wines are made from a combination of her own Riesling grown in the Mosel as well as grapes she purchases from producers with whom she has a good relationship, most especially Andi Mann, Niklas Rückrich and Piri Naturel. She now has a cellar in Wöllstein, in Rheinhessen and her wines are in strong demand

With some of her labels featuring drag queens she collaborates with and quirky artwork, the wines of Jas Swan really stand out and the wines themselves certainly speak in the similar unique way. Popular wines include Kiki and Queendom, but the wines change every year - so there is always something new! Jas also is the organiser of Back of the Van, which is a mobile wine fair that occurs as a satellite events next to bigger funded natural wine fairs.
