STREKOV 1075 VIDEO
Who is Strekov 1075?
Strekov 1075 is a natural wine project run by Hungarian Zsolt Suto, who with his team from a tiny Slovakian village (called Strekov) cultivate 12 hectares of vineyards in a very ecologically responsible manner.
With a holistic approach and lots of attention given in the cellar and without any added sulphites, many other natural wines producers in Eastern Europe have looked to Strekov 1075 in Slovakia for guidance.
What techniques do Strekov 1075 work to?
Zsolt is a thoughtful, philosopical man full of ideas and fully dedicated to his holistic methods, pushing boundries when he can. In the cellar, he allows time to be his friend and only bottles according to the lunar calendar, bottling by gravity to distrub the wines the least.
In the vineyard, Zsolt sprays herbal teas on his vines and is experimenting with drones to distribute the mixtures, to avoid tractors compressing the soil, or damaging the leaves.
Popular wines include Fred, Creme and Porta - his prized complex, assemblage of Welschriesling and Grüner Veltliner with skin contact maceration. WE LOVE THESE WINES!

We visited Strekov 1075 in the Nitra region of Slovakia a few years ago, and complied some video impressions of our visit at the time. This new video features some of the reasons why we LOVE the wines of Strekov 1075, and the winemaker Zsolt Suto.
