Velvet is a natural wine crafted by Pittnauer, in the Burgenland region in Austria. This juicy red wine is made with Blaufränkisch, Merlot and Zweigelt grapes, which is meant to have a little more of a serious touch to it.

Production details of Velvet: Velvet is made by Gerhard and Brigitte Pittnauer at their family winery in Gols, Burgenland, Austria. The blend is Blaufränkisch, Merlot and Zweigelt. The Pittnauers work using a lunar-calendar approach and are well known on the Burgenland natural wine scene.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Velvet by Pittnauer, but we hear it has notes of dark cherry, ripe plum, fine spice and a soft velvety texture.
