Bergeron
Bergeron is the same grape as Roussane, but is called Bergeoni where it is primarily grown in the Savoie region of France. This region, located in the eastern part of the country, is known for its cool climate and mountainous terrain, which provides the perfect conditions for growing this grape.
Bergeron is also grown in other parts of France, such as the Rhône Valley, where it is known as Roussanne. However, it is in Savoie where this grape truly shines.
The flavors of Bergeron are unique and captivating. It is known for its rich and complex aromas, with notes of stone fruits, honey, and flowers. On the palate, it offers a full-bodied and creamy texture, with flavors of apricot, pear, and a hint of spice.
The acidity of Bergeron is well-balanced, providing a refreshing and lively character to the wine. It is often aged in oak barrels, which adds a subtle touch of vanilla and toastiness to the overall profile.
