Burgenland | Natural Wines from Burgenland
With natural wine, Burgenland is the best region of Austria in terms of quantity of natural wine producers. Burgenland has always been known for its exceptional wine production, especially thanks to Lake Neusiedl which offers a unique microclimate that fosters the cultivation of grapes with breezes and a variety of different soil tupes.
Several natural wine producers have emerged from this region, each with their own innovative and sustainable approaches to winemaking. Notable examples include Koppitsch, Claus Preisinger, Gut Oggau, Christian Tschida, Weninger, Meinklang and Judith Beck. These producers prioritize the use of ecological methods and minimal intervention to create wines that truly reflect the local terroir. There are more natural wine producers in Burgenland than any other wine region of Austria, and it is a good place to look for great value wines with freshness and quality.
