Zweigelt is a budget natural wine crafted by Hareter, in the Burgenland region in Austria. This red wine is made with Zweigelt grapes.

Production details of Zweigelt (Hareter): Zweigelt from Thomas and Claudia Hareter in Weiden am See, Burgenland. The grapes come from a 35-year-old vineyard on medium-heavy sandy loam soil on the Rosenberg slope. Hareter farms 15 hectares using a lunar-calendar approach without herbicides, pesticides, mineral fertilisers or fining agents. Wild ferment, minimal sulphur.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Zweigelt by Hareter, but we hear it has notes of blueberry, blackberry, sour cherry, liquorice and a soft spicy lift.
