Claus Preisinger's Puszta Blanca is a new addition to his beautiful Burgenland range, but actually much more limited the Puszta Lubra, which we would argue is one of the most influential wines of the natural wine scene.
Here in Puszta Blanca, the grapes of Grüner Veltliner, Weissburgunder and Muskat Ottonel are grown on calcareous soils on the prestigious Leithaberg region of Burgenland (considered the best area).
Aged for seven months on the lees in stainless steel tanks to preserve a lot of freshness, It is bottled unfiltered and with only light sulfites at bottling. We are excited to try this wine and hear it offers subtle fresh floral notes of chamomile, citrus pops and a mild nutty edge.
