Bouvines 2023 is a natural wine crafted by La Sorga, in the Languedoc region in France. This red wine is made with Grenache grapes sourced from 26 and 43 year-old vines.

Grown on Villafranchian and limestone-sand soils in Aspiran, in the Hérault Valley, this cuvée comes from low-yielding old vines (23 hl/ha) and is named after the famous medieval battle; fittingly, it's meant to be a wine with real backbone.

The grapes are hand destemmed and macerated for 33 days, then aged in a horizontal sandstone jar for 10 months, with no added sulphites.

Winemaker tasting notes describe a very expressive nose, with cocoa, cherry and rose. The palate is described as broad and long, showing crushed strawberry and blueberry alongside garrigue greenery, thyme, and savoury notes, finishing with white pepper.

Drink this zero-zero wine in one sitting, as it will likely not hold over to the next day.

1,500 bottles were produced.
