Retour de Roy 2022 is a natural wine crafted by La Sorga, in the Languedoc region in France. This red wine is made with Grenache grapes from 68-year-old vines grown on schist soils in Cabrerolles, within the Faugères appellation.

This is one of La Sorga's standout reds: old-vine Grenache from a terroir known for giving wines real grip and aromatic intensity. Yields are tiny, just 13hl/ha.

The grapes are destemmed and macerated for 30 days, then aged for 9 months in a sandstone egg, with no added sulphites.

Winemaker tasting notes describe an exceptionally powerful nose, with strawberry, citrus, and white pepper alongside fern. On the palate, it shows the classic markers of Faugères schist: a very broad, velvety texture, dominant citrus and white pepper aromatics, plus cumin, all wrapped in enormous complexity. The finish is described as long and dense, a wine built for ageing but already very easy to drink.

Only 1,400 bottles were produced.
