Cailloux 2023 is an incredible natural wine crafted by Patrick Bouju and Justine Loiseau of Domaine la Boheme in the Auvergne region in France. This red wine is made with Pinot Noir, grapes, and taken from old vines around 80 years old.

This is a red wine where you can really taste the volcanic minerality bursting through, and WE ADORE CAILLOUX. It is perhaps our favourite wine of Domaine la Boheme.

With a slight reduction on opening, we suggest to carafe for 15 minutes. Expect vibrant acidity, deep black cherry touches and a volcanic mineral profile. This is an energetic Pinot Noir, which will only get better with age.

NATURAL WINES BY PATRICK BOUJU

Patrick Bouju is a big name in the French natural wine world, and along with his partner Justine Loiseau, he tends to about 9 hectares of vines in Auvergne, France. Under the label "Domaine la Bohème," they also source grapes from other growers to create négoce wines, allowing them to expand their lineup beyond their own vineyards in wines like G&M, CC and Mol. This approach gives them room to experiment with lesser-known grape varieties like Mondeuse and Altesse. Bouju’s wines are highly sought after, especially in Germany, France, the U.K., and the U.S. Plus, their domaine wines like Lulu, The Blanc and Caillous age beautifully, making them quite collectible.
