Bianco 2023 is a natural wine crafted by Jacopo Stigliano and his friend, in the partnership they call Samodia
Based in Valsamoggia in the Emilia-Romagna region in North Italy, this skin-contact wine is made with a wide mix of grapes, roughly composed of 40% Pignoletto, 15% Albana, 10% Trebbiano Modenese, 10% Trebbiano Romagnolo , 20% Montuni and 5% Moscato.
It undergoes a light maceration, so is not a full bodied as Jacopo's other orange wines can be. Vinification takes place in small Qvevri Amphora and cement tanks, and the wine sees no added sulphites.
Expect notes of crushed fennel, apricot, pastry, citrus peel elements, mint, hints of black tea and a soft tannic structure. Really delicious!
