Morra Gabriele's Langhe Nebbiolo 2023 is a beautiful, classic Nebbiolo wine from the Langhe region of Piedmonte, here armed with a nice peppery touch. It tastes so damn sexy and is INCREDIBLE VALUE for the price!

Expect a medium body with tingly tannins and a smooth finish.

WE LOVE THIS WINE and drink it often!

Please note, the vintage is 2023 not 2021 as the photo suggests

Production Details: Morra Gabriele operates 4.5 hectares in Barbaresco. This wine is 100% Nebbiolo. The grapes are whole-cluster pressed, with fermentation in stainless steel. Ageing takes place in old barrique for approximately 6 months, allowing the wine to soften whilst retaining its structure and flavour profile.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried the 2023 vintage of Langhe Nebbiolo by Morra Gabriele, but we hear it has notes of cherry, tar, leather, licorice, and fine-grained tannin.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

Morra Gabriele

NATURAL WINES BY MORRA GABRIELE

Morra Gabriele is named after the grandfather of Gabriele Testa, whose family cellar in Macellai, a hamlet of Pocapaglia in the Roero, dates back to 1880 under the Pautasso name. Gabriele, a local farmer, brought it back to life with his friend Stefano Campaniello, a sommelier with years in restaurants across Europe. Barbera and Freisa grow around the cellar in Macellai. The Nebbiolo comes from small plots in well-known Barbaresco crus, including Ovello, Fausoni and Starderi, the last two in Neive.

Stefano runs the cellar. Fermentations start on their own and run long, and the wines age in concrete, steel and large old oak casks. Vineyard work follows the moon. We stock their Memorie 2022, a blend of young-vine Nebbiolo from Barbaresco and late-harvested Freisa from the family's Roero plot, aged in old concrete tanks. Their Langhe Nebbiolo 2023 is a straight Nebbiolo.
