Malbec
Malbec is a red wine grape that originated in France, but in the wine world has certainly found its second home in Argentina. This grape is primarily grown in the Mendoza region of Argentina, where it thrives in the high-altitude vineyards of the Andes Mountains.
Malbec is known for producing full-bodied, rich, and velvety wines with deep purple color and intense flavors. It offers a unique combination of dark fruit flavors such as blackberry, plum, and black cherry, along with hints of chocolate, tobacco, and spice. The wines made from Malbec grapes are often described as having a smooth and silky texture, with well-integrated tannins and a long, lingering finish.
With it's origins in the southwestern French region of Cahors, it is also known under the name Côt.
