Gewürztraminer is a natural wine crafted by Marto Wines, in the Rheinhessen region in Germany. This white wine is made with 100% Gewürztraminer grapes, made as a direct press rather than skin-contact as is so common in the natural wine scene. No added sulphur

This is direct-press Gewurztraminer from limestone soils. It shows the perfumed style Gewurztraminer it is usually known for, but gives off more to discover as well which we very much enjoy. There is the floral aspects alongside honeyed touches, grapefruit, kumquat and wet grass hints. There is some mineralic tension and a hint of sweetness on the finish that really takes the wine to a more interesting place, and makes us feel like pairing this with spicy thai food, an interesting salad or even an afternoon cake. VERY COOL WINE!

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

NATURAL WINES BY MARTO WINES

Martin Wörner, or Marto Wines, is one of the hottest names in Germany's natural wine scene. After learning the ropes with top producers like Matassa and Gut Oggau, Martin (or Marto, as most call him) brought his fresh approach back to his family winery in Rheinhessen and breathed new life into it.
Marto Wines is often regarded as one of the most influential producers in the German natural wine movement and has inspired a whole new wave of winemakers in the country. He’s also teamed up with Alanna Lagamba (known for her Frauenpower wines), who now plays half the role in the business, and is actually his partner in life too! Popular bottles from Marto Wines include Weiss, Al Dente, Manna, Crazy Crazy Pet Nat and his special reserve bottles, as well as our own collaboration bottles!
