La Carbonnode 2019 by La Soufrandière is a natural wine made in Burgundy with Chardonnay grapes.

This is a perfect example of why this producer is gaining hype. Fine wine, but with edge and soul.

What's interesting about this wine, is it's a Chardonnay from Burgundy made using Carbonic Maceration, which is not usual practice at all in the region.

Chalky style minerality, with a clean, elegant rounded mouthfeel. Notes of pear, yellow apple, butter.
