Baby Bandito 'Follow Your Dreams' 2021 is a natural wine crafted by Craig Hawkins of Testalonga, made in the Swartland region in South Africa. This red wine is made with 100% Carignan grapes, which are quite common in South Africa alongside Chenin Blanc which Testalonga also work a lot with.

Tasting Notes for Baby Bandito 'Follow Your Dreams' 2021 by Testalonga

This absolute banger for value has aged beautifully, and what once was a little rough around the edges has truly blossomed! It features excellent notes of crushed red berries and violet-like florals on the nose, complemented by flavors of black cherry, plums, earth, herbal aspects and subtle hints of beetroot.

 The palate is fresh and light-bodied, carried by vibrant acidity and fine tannins, with a gently persistent, slightly tingly tannic structure. Truly great value South African red.

Production Process of Baby Bandito 'Follow Your Dreams' 2021 by Testalonga

It undergoes whole-bunch fermentation on skins for about 12 days before pressing, followed by fermentation in tank. The wine is then aged for around 6 months in large old oak foudres of approximately 3,500 liters, with a portion also matured in 500-liter old oak barrels.
