Celler Frisach is a natural wine producer based in the Terra Alta region in Spain and the wine 'La Foradada' is made using grapes of White Grenache (Grenache Blanc).

Tasting notes FROM Cellar Frisach:

La Foradada smells like green almonds and has an almost voluptuous point, of terpene, from the skins. It smells of rosemary honey, to wild fennel, a field of freshly harvested grain. Smells like a summer night. It is beautiful, warm and direct as the first rays of morning sun. It fills everything. It smells of sunflowers, dried chamomile, like moss, pear and lemon-mint. Resin and almond blossoms. It smells of life and origin.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

Frisach

NATURAL WINES BY CELLER FRISACH

Celler Frisach is run by brothers Francesc and Joan Ferré in Corbera d'Ebre, in the Terra Alta region of Catalonia, Spain. The family has grown grapes and olives here for over 200 years, and Frisach was their great-grandfather's surname. The brothers started bottling their own wine in 2009. They work about 20 hectares at 290 to 450 metres, on iron-rich chalky clay and panal, the local petrified sand dunes. They hold most of the Garnatxa Gris left in Terra Alta.

They also grow Garnatxa Blanca, Negra and Peluda plus Carinyena, at very low yields. The wines ferment and age in underground concrete vats, steel and old barrels of various sizes, for up to a year. Sulphur is around 10 mg/l at bottling, and some wines get none. We stock Les Alifares, a skin-fermented Garnatxa Gris, L'Anit, and Sang de Corb, a field blend from a vineyard planted in 1945.
