Vin de LaGamba | Frauenpower Wine
Alanna Lagamba is a female natural wine producer making wine under the name Vin de Lagamba. Alanna comes from Canada, but moved to Germany where she soon fell in love with wine, viticulture, and fellow winemaker Martin Wörner of Marto Wines. Passionate about starting her own project, she used the unused Dornfelder vines on his plot in Rheinhessen, and soon the iconic FrauenPower was born, boosted using a splash of Silvaner.
We are proud to be Vin de LaGamba's first client actually, buying the first Frauenpower! There is now also a Rosé Frauenpower as well as various projects she has done with fellow producers like Glow Glow Wines. Her wines are now highly sought the world over

FrauenPower is born - Vin de Lagamba's first vintage
What resulted from her first vintage was FrauenPower - a fruity, fun, red pet-nat with explosive energy. This debut wine is deliciously approachable - perfect for pizza or grilling, parties or Netflix on the couch. Both an ode to her Italian heritage and to the women around her, feminist LaGamba says “the idea behind the name of the wine came easily. Being so lucky as to have so many strong and powerful women in my life who inspire me every day, this wine is dedicated not only to them but to all women out there (and all who identify as such).”
Wines you can have fun with
Alanna LaGamba’s mantra is to drink wines you can have fun with, and that manifests through her winemaking of which she now has a big reputation in doing do!
Making wines with her partner Martin Wörner of Marto Wines, she continues to experiment with styles but sticks to sparklers; she has since produced three additional bottles, including ‘Mehr Frauen? Ja Bitte’ (More Women? Yes Please’ - another juicy sparkling), and a Traditional Method sparkling called Cuvee Royale, plus a rosé FrauenPower, too. We can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
