La Stoppa Wine
Elena Pantaleoni runs the natural wine estate 'La Stoppa', featuring a rather large 50 hectares of classical Italian varieties, based in Emilia-Romagna. Age worthy reds like her Barbera are highly sought-after due to their fantastic price/quality ratio. Orange wines (skin-contact) like Ageno vary vintage to vintage and have an almost cult-like following of admirers.
La Stoppa has bridged the gap between classic style wines, made naturally and at fair prices. A lot of their work is a result of collaboration with Giulio Armani, who is the head winemaker at La Stoppa and also the owner of Denavolo nearby.
