Jean-Yves Peron | Savoie wine
Jean-Yves Peron is natural winemaker in the Savoie region of France. A former biochemist, Peron decided to study wine in the 90s and completed work in Alsace, Oregon, and New Zealand before returning to Savoie to make his own wine. Farming is done sustainably, and in the cellar maceration is very well controlled, producing whites which are particularly complex and inspired by the orange wines of northern Italy. Popular wines from Jean-Yves Peron include La Cote Pelée, I Vicini 'Grignolino', and Les Champ Levat.
