Attia Rosso 2024 is a natural wine crafted by Etnella, in the Sicily region in Italy. This red wine is made with Nerello Mascalese grapes, and is seen as the entry point to the world of Etnella. Less serious than his fuller Nerelllo Mascalese expressions, but still with some Etna volcanicity, yet a more juicy, approachable profile.

Production details of Attia Rosso: Attia Rosso is made by Davide Bentivegna at Etnella, a small natural estate on the northern slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily. Davide left a London business career to work 10 hectares of bush-vine Nerello Mascalese at altitudes up to 780m. Attia is 100% Nerello Mascalese, made with delicate infusion-style winemaking and some Beaujolais-esque carbonic maceration to keep things light. The result walks the line between lean red and rosato.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Attia Rosso by Etnella, but we hear it has notes of tart dark cherry, wild strawberry, tomato leaf, Campari and a crunchy volcanic mineral edge.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

NATURAL WINES BY ETNELLA

Etnella is a small natural wine estate nestled on the slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, run by the passionate Davide Bentivegna. Davide works with several vineyard plots at varying altitudes, reaching up to 780 meters above sea level, and his wines really capture the unique terroir of this volcanic landscape.
The red wines, particularly the Kaos Rosso 2020, stand out as stunning examples of Nerello Mascalese, and we personally find them to be even more expressive than some of the bigger names from the region. On the white wine side, his Kaos 5.0 is a standout Etna Bianco—crisp, mineral-driven, and full of life.
