Aligoté
Aligoté is a white wine grape that is primarily grown in the Burgundy region of France.
This grape is known for producing crisp and refreshing wines with high acidity. It is often used to make dry white wines, although it can also be used in sparkling wine production. Aligoté wines are typically light-bodied with flavors of green apple, lemon, and sometimes a hint of minerality.
In Burgundy, Aligoté is often used to make the traditional aperitif wine, Kir, which is a blend of Aligoté and crème de cassis. This grape is also gaining popularity in other regions for its ability to produce high-quality wines at a more affordable price point compared to other Burgundian varietals.
