Nerello Cappuccio
Nerello Cappuccio is a red wine grape that is primarily grown in the regions of Sicily and Calabria in Italy. This grape is an important component in the production of some of Italy's finest wines, particularly those from the Mount Etna region in Sicily.
Nerello Cappuccio is known for its intense and complex flavors. It produces wines that are rich in aromas of red fruits, such as cherries and raspberries, with hints of spices and herbs. The grape's high acidity and tannins give the wines a firm structure and a long-lasting finish.
It is rarely used alone and often blended with Nerello Mascalese, the most known grape of Etna. Natural Wine producers like Etnella, Frank Cornelissen and Vino di Anna are known to feature Nerello Cappuccio in their wines.
