Traminer
Traminer is a popular wine grape that is grown in various regions around the world. This grape is particularly prominent in countries such as Germany, Austria, France, Italy, and Hungary.
Traminer is known for its distinct and aromatic flavors, which often include notes of lychee, rose petals, and spice. It is a versatile grape that can be used to produce a range of wine styles, from dry and crisp to sweet and luscious.
Interestingly, Traminer is the same grape as Savagnin, the famous grape in Jura. And likewise, the more aromatic Gewürztraminer is not a distinct variety, it is just an aromatic mutation of Traminer Rot, which is itself being a colour mutation of Traminer Weiss.
