XL 2018 MAGNUM is a natural wine crafted by Partida Creus, in the Catalonia region in Spain. This white wine is made with Xarel lo grapes, hence the name. Xarel-lo is a common grape in the region, often used as part of a blend for Cava production. When made into a still wine, it can really shine in the right hands, like here with Antonella and Massimo.
Drinking XL from Partida Creus
We have not tried this 2018 vintage of XL, but can state the 2021 vintage is super bright with a lovely little sharp reduction yet remains citrus-fresh and with a lovely salty touch to it. It's got a refreshing, thin mouthfeel with a green apple and melon finish. Excellent wine from Partida Creus, and just 10.5% too!
