Jesus Reviens 2023

Jesus Reviens 2023 is a natural wine crafted by La Sorga, in the Languedoc region in France. This sparkling Pet Nat wine is made with Colombard grapes grapes grown on 15-year-old vines.

Grown on basaltic loam soils in Adissan, in the Hérault Valley, this pet-nat takes its name as a playful follow-up to an earlier "Jésus" release. So in a way.. this is kinda like Jesus returns or Jesus 2.

The grapes are direct-pressed, with the second-press juice settled and sorted, and then vinified in a sandstone jar. Bottling is done by gravity on a favourable moon, followed by 5 months on lees and hand disgorgement, with no added sulphites.

Winemaker tasting notes describe a nose of white fruits (pear), white flowers (acacia, elderflower, hawthorn), and lemon peel. The palate is described as lively and generous, with light anise and pear character, long, with magnificently fine bubbles and a finish on stone.

Drink this zero-zero wine in one sitting, as it will likely not hold over to the next day.
