Gamay
Gamay is such a fun, playful grape to enjoy but it can also have a serious side.
The Beaujolais region in France offers the best of both. Whilst Nouveau and Village wines generally lean into the glou-glou, easy drinking side of Gamay thanks to Carbonic Maceration winemaking, on the other hand Cru wines like Morgon and Brouilly showcase the more sincere, terroir driven aspects of Gamay, especially with top winemakers like Jean Foillard and Domaine Lapierre.
