Schist Happens is a natural orange wine crafted by Michi Lorenz, in the Styria region in Austria. This orange wine (with just a little maceration) is made with Sauvignon Blanc grapes which are grown on Michi Lorenz's red, black and grey schist soils at an altitude of 400-500m high. The grape vines are around 35-40 years old, planted on the hills around his winery. Aged for 12 months in both old barrique and steel tanks. No added sulphites in this vintage

What to expect from Schist Happens by Michi Lorenz?

Michi says this wine has a certain smokeyness to it, and we hear its nice and exotic in fruit flavours too, with excellent minerality from the Schist (Schiefer) soils the vines are grown on.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.
