Albone Lambrusco

Albone Lambrusco by Podere Il Saliceto is a natural wine made in Emilia-Romagna with Lambrusco Salamino grapes.

This is a natural Lambrusco, with a slightly sweet touch.

If you prefer dry, go for the other one called Falistra.

Production details of Albone Lambrusco: Albone Lambrusco is made by Marcello Righi and Gian Paolo Isabella at Podere il Saliceto, a 4-hectare estate in Campogalliano just outside Modena (founded 2005). The grape is Lambrusco Salamino from sandy alluvial soils on the banks of the Secchia River. Wild ferment in stainless steel, with carbonation via a modified charmat method. Minimal sulphur. Slightly off-dry style.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Albone Lambrusco by Podere Il Saliceto, but we hear it has notes of dark berry, soft red fruit, fine bubbles and a touch of sweetness.
