Kirch 2021

Kirchholz 2021 is a natural wine crafted by Weninger, in the Burgenland region in Austria. This red wine is made with Blaufränkisch grapes, like most of Franz Weningers wines.

The Kirchholz vineyard borders directly on the Hochäcker site. Only a dirt road lies between the two. And yet the top layer here is mixed with sandy gravel stones up to half a meter deep, which makes the soil more permeable.

The clay and loam content of the subsoil is similar to that of the Hochäcker. Here, Blaufränkisch grows on vines that are up to 60 years old.
