Amphora Rot 2021

Amphora Rot 'Pinot Noir' 2021 is a premium wine from Germany's Andi Weigand, which as the name suggest is indeed made in Qvevri Amphora, which will smooths out the tannins and adds complexity to the wine. 

Quintessential Spätburgunder how you want it! Equal parts de stemmed and in whole bunches and then topped up with grape juice and sealed in amphora for 9 months

The fermentation begins spontaneously with wild yeasts. juice is pressed and transferred to small barrels for another 9 months, no sulphur added during this process.

This wine runs a light and pure ruby red. wild cherry, and cassis on the  in the background herbs such as sage and laurel, beautiful spice and heartiness, undergrowth from the coniferous forest... Well structured in the mouth it embodies the characteristic light treaded elegance of Andi’s wines despite long maceration on the skins.
