Weinland 2023

Weinland is a natural wine crafted by Weninger, in the Burgenland region in Austria. This white wine is made with Souvignier Gris grapes, which is a hybrid grape.

Franz Weninger says of Weinland "Most of those who tasted our first vintage 2023 in our cellar thought it was Furmint. It impresses with a precise acidity and, like Furmint, with a very quiet fruit, which is more influenced by our development (long yeast storage). It is also a bit more accessible than our Furmints.

 Not everyone will know it, but in Austrian wine law, Weinland is the legal designation of origin for unfiltered wines from Burgenland and Lower Austria. Many of our colleagues are annoyed by this imaginary term, but we have decided to fill it with emotion. That is why our new white wine is simply called "Weinland". "
