Cantina Ortaccio wine

Cantina Ortaccio is a natural wine duo from the northern Lazio region in Italy, right on the border to Tuscany. Founded by Massimo Antonuzi and Patrizia Montanari who used to run a natural wine shop in Rome, the two decided to head to the countryside having found some abandoned vineyards they were able to acquire.

Farming Trebbiano, Procanico, Malvasia, Sangiovese, Greghetto and Ciliegiolo, the Cantina Ortaccio wines feature volcanic soil and this gives off a certain vibrancy, in addition to the fact that no added sulphur is used in the wines. Popular bottles (given these are very small in production!) include Bianco Dritto, Ortaccio Bianco and Ortaccio Rosso.
