La Combe Aux Rêves wine
Natural wine producer Grégoire and Judi Perron based in AIN, France started La Combe aux Rêves after they found a small parcel of Poulsard... with 100+ year old vines!
With other vines of theirs featuring Pinot Noir, Ploussard, Mondeuse, Gamay, Savagnin, Roussette de Savoie as well as a few ancestral and hybrid grapes, the age of the vines is important here as they give more complexity to the wines, but provide less yield.
Some of the other vines were planted over 80 years ago but the two also buy Jacquères and Chasselas grapes from the nearby Savoie region ( for example in "Jack Erres Dans Les Abimes" or "La Flûte Agitée") and Chardonnay and Aligoté from Burgundy (in the wine "Pearl"). There are no added sulpur in these vibrant and expressive wines.
